“It is said there is no sin in killing a beast, only in killing a man. But where does one begin and the other end.”
Edith Cushing
“Ghosts are real, that much I know. I’ve seen them all my life…”Mina Murray/Harker
“How can you call this science? Do you think Madam Curie would invite such comparisons? Really! “Vanessa Ives
“She called me her Little Scorpion, and only said my name aloud once, before she was murdered, tied to that tree outside. I’ve never liked trees since. Not one.”Lucy Westenra
“It’s my wedding gift to you. Don’t worry about spoiled little Lucy. I’ll be all right.”Brona Croft/Lily Frankenstein
“Don’t we make a beautiful couple, ‘thee and me’? Shall we wander the pasture and recite your fucking poetry to the fucking cows. You are blind… like all other men.”Lucille Sharpe
“ But the horror… The horror was for love. The things we do for love like this are ugly, mad, full of sweat and regret. This love burns you and maims you and twists you inside out. It is a monstrous love and it makes monsters of us all.”

me, a gentile, completely engrossed in a very long thread in which several Jewish tumblr users draw on the tenets, laws, and philosophies of Judaism to support their claims in a debate about whether it would be okay for a dragon to light a candle with its own fiery breath on the sabbath
As a fellow goy I very badly want to read this thread
This is literally the only good post about Judaism made by a gentile on this entire damn website. Good job OP you’ve done what we all said was impossible.

So, you just got up with the sun, and you’re tiptoeing around the kitchen making awful coffee by yourself, just to come say hi at six in the morning, for no particular reason?

Ghosts are real, this much I know. There are things that tie them to a place, very much like they do us. Some remain tethered to a patch of land, a time and date, the spilling of blood, a terrible crime. But there are others. Others that hold on to an emotion, a drive. Loss, revenge, or love. Those…they never go away.

You said it was a ghost story. It isn’t. No? It’s a love story. Same thing, really.

Intrigued about his process, I visited Oscar Nilsson’s website. His “about” page says this:
“The hyper-realistic reconstructions of O.D. Nilssons´ are made by the sculptor and archaeologist Oscar D. Nilsson. With assistance from specialized craftsmen and scientists we provide museums worldwide with 3D and 2D reconstructions of historical findings. Lectures are also given at universities, conferences and museums. Expertised in the human face, O.D. Nilsson also creates sculptures like portraits, characters, scale figures e t c. ‘The human face is a motif that never ceases to fascinate me: the variation of the underlying structure as well as the variety in details seem endless. And all the faces I reconstruct are unique. They are all individuals.’”
